Sisi has written and illustrated two books that reflect both her creativity and her lived experiences: She-Warrior, an inspiring true story about her childhood cancer journey, and The Sweet Revolution, a whimsical adventure inspired by politics, family, and imagination. When Sisi was 3 years old, she was diagnosed with a rare cancer. Initially she felt sad and angry at being sick and hospitalized, and missing out on all the fun of summer, friends, and splashpads. However, when Sisi and her mother travelled to Philadelphia, PA to receive life-saving radiation.
This story written by Sisi, when she was 11 years old, will delight children, teens, and adults alike. It is a true story of an inspiring little girl with a big personality who navigates adversity with humor and resilience. The book is written from a child’s perspective capturing the optimism of childhood.
